I've heard that Bill Clinton has been saying in recent campaign stops that Texas and Ohio are must wins. The math proves that to be true but it's surprising to hear a candidates spouse say it out loud. According to MSNBC, Clinton needs to win 65% of all the remaining delegates to get the nomination, which would be nearly impossible. It will be interesting to see if Hillary goes negative early tonight.
Update 1:
On the topic of Cuba each candidate seemed to have little difference except in how they would begin possible diplomatic negotiations with the new government. So far... it's a tie.
Weird side note: What's up with Hillary's smile. She seems to laugh and smile at inappropriate times. Didn't W do that? My wife thinks she seems to be glaring at Barack. I think she's just aware of the fact that he's kicking her butt.
John King brought up the topic of fixing the economic slump (aka., recession).
Update 2: Nothing really pronounced on the economic or immigration issues. Both made good points.
John King seems to be intent on making a name for himself a name as a political interrogator (new phrase). He's giving the candidates a chance to get a fight started on which of them has actual solutions - he used the phrase "all hat, no cattle". We'll have to see where it goes.
Hillary brought up the now semi-infamous MSNBC segment where Obama's surrogate couldn't name any of his accomplishments. Barack answered the question with eloquence.
Final Update: I don't see either candidate as a clear winner, although I think Hillary had her best moment in her final statement. Overall I think Barack held his own and often won arguements and established himself as "presidential". I think Hillary lost points with her "Xerox" statement.
On to Ohio and Texas!
