The forgetful John McCain is now speaking for all Americans when he talks to foreign leaders. He has been speaking to Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili about the problem that Georgia got itself into with Russia.
And out of those discussions, Senator McCain has told President Saakashvili that Senator McCain speaks for all Americans when he says that we are all Georgians today. Excuse me. Where and when did I consent for Senator McCain to speak for me about what I think about the Russia/Georgia conflict? I didn't and Senator McCain cannot speak for me on this conflict, because I see Georgia as the country in the wrong.
How is it that the country that moved troops into the disputed territory to eliminate rebels and decided to tweak the military of Russia is considered the good guys here? If you want to blame somebody, blame the people in charge within the Georgian government. These smart people decided that they could anger Russia and get away with it. Well, see how well that went.
Anyways, back to Senator McCain. I am American. I am not Georgian and never will be. I do not feel sorry for their government. I do feel sorry for the people that are represented by the fools in government. They are the ones that will get hurt the most in all of this. There are more people like me that do not feel that Russia is doing anything wrong. And they don't like having words put into their mouth. Senator McCain is not the President, so he should stop acting like he is. Senator McCain should make a commercial blaming Senator Obama for this fight between the two countries. It wouldn't be anymore of a stretch than most of his commercials.

Senator McCain Does Not Speak For Me

I don't agree that Russia has done nothing wrong. I think their response was out of proportion.
However, I do agree with you that John McCain has no authority to speak on behalf of the American people. It is outrageous that he is calling up foreign leaders and making declarations of American foreign policy.
Georgia's President is a nationalist who is willing to use war for political purposes. He is dangerous, and ought not to be given declarations of absolute American support.
Thanks for speaking out on this.
It is no different than NOBAMA going to the middle east or europe... Or nancy stretch Pelosi going to the middle east and talking with Syria...
