Governor Sarah Palin is at it again. She is still talking about William Ayers and Barack Obama like they have been pals for 40 years. She is still talking about how Barack Obama is attacking John McCain unfairly. She is still talking in generalities about almost every issue known to mankind, except for one. That issue? Abortion.
Now we know that she is pro-life in all cases. Doesn't matter if there is rape or incest involved. And then in a McCain/Palin Rally in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, she decides that she is going to play the proud mother of 5 children and asks how Barack Obama can not protect those sweet innocent children that their mothers are thinking about aborting. Well, Governor Palin, how about answering questions about protecting children from your point of view?
This is from the AFP:Republican Sarah Palin, who has a baby with Downs Syndrome, Saturday spoke out publicly about her stand against abortion saying she believed in "the potential of every human life."
She is right, there is the greatest potential in every human life to be the the person to bring humanity into a golden age or to lower humanity into the relative pits of hell. Oppose Sarah Palin in Alaska and you are closer to the second than the first according to published reports, but that is another story. But she told a Johnstown, Pennsylvania, rally it was an important subject, and tried to skewer Democratic White House hopeful Barack Obama saying she had listened hard to his stand on abortion rights.
"It's hard to think of many issues that could possibly be more important than who is protected in law and who isn't. Who is granted life and who is denied it?" said the Alaska governor, who is known to oppose abortion in almost every circumstance.
"So I listened when our opponent defended his unconditional support for unlimited abortions and he said that a woman shouldn't have to be, quote, punished with a baby.
"It's about time that we called him on it."
Please call him on it. I want you out there telling the entire world that we have to protect America's future and that includes that children that are in the wombs of women all across this country. Then I want you to tell the country about what programs you are willing to cut to balance the budget. I suspect that Welfare, Food Stamps, Housing Assistance, Energy Assistance, WIC, and education assistance to low income families would be on that list. Just like most conservatives would have on that list. And the kicker by looking at that list? Read the next quote."I believe the truest measure of any society is how it treats those who are least able to defend and to speak for themselves. And who is more vulnerable or more innocent than a child?" she told the rally, as a baby could be heard crying in the background.
But yet, the same party that she belongs to wants to cut social programs that will help those children that are already in the world. We couldn't expand S-CHIP because the conservatives don't want to increase runaway social spending, even to help the most vulnerable and the most innocent children out there. John McCain has said that we need to freeze spending on all social programs which would endanger even more children. Tell me Governor, who are we trying to protect? It isn't the children that you proclaim to want to help, otherwise you would be chaffing at the spending freeze that Senator McNasty has proposed. You wouldn't have cut funding for special needs children in Alaska. You would have invested more wisely and with more money into the Alaskan state education system. And you wouldn't fire people in the Alaskan state government that is working on youth and teen problems in Alaska just to satisfy your unhappiness that the worker did not fire your Ex-Brother-In Law. Palin said: "Every innocent life does matter and everyone belongs in the circle of protection. Every child has something to contribute to our world if we give them that chance.
Could not agree with that statement more. But if you argue that abortion breaks with that statement then you can argue that cutting programs that would help those children achieve their contribution to this world breaks with that statement. Besides, if you really want to make a difference in the world, look at all the children in the Foster Care system here in America. There are hundreds of thousands of children that are waiting for someone to mold them and let them contribute to our society. Conservatives need to look at the big picture instead of having all their focus on 1/10th of 1% of the problem.

Brent, you just don't get it do you! Trying to make mountains out of mole hills is not the way. Either print the whole truth, (not as you want it to be printed)or don't print it at all!
