News comes this morning of the passing of the legendary blues and rock guitarist Bo Diddly. He was one of the most influential pioneers in popular music and has gained immortal status with guitarists the world over.

As someone who has worked professionally in the music industry this news is especially sad. Thank you Bo for all you've done for those of us who need music like oxygen. You've given us much - now go rest up for the great jam sessions ahead.
